Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Suggest to check the Percent Type of Activities. It must be Physical.

where did you get the excel file that you are importing  ?

create an excel file to populate with your updated information by exporting the fields that you want this give you a template.

also go to the project mode big button on the left and make sure that you projetc is highlighted 

click on the calculations tab 

on the left make sure that Activity Percent complete based on activity steps is NOT checked
