Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello

Is there any way that when the data date is moved on and progress is updated that the earned value at previous period end remains fixed at what it was. For example, an activity that was 90% complete at year end will always have 90% earned at that date.

Thanks in advance.

I would hazard that the remaining duration has an effect here. The % calculation will depend on how much time has been expended versus the remaining. If you change the data date you should manually update remaining duration.

I have been advised to do this but when the data date is advanced and the activities progressed the earned value at previous periods is still changed.
