hi...
i think in the next couple weeks i will have time to do what i have promised, Free Risk Analysis application or add-on. However, i think it is easier for me to do it in MS Project instead of Excel. Let me know what u guys think. Remember that Excel gives us more flexibility!!!
But MS Project already has the interface and also output in node diagram, bar chart, ...also CALENDAR setting (i love this one and it wont be in my application if i do it in Excel. ..too much work :P)

Distribution Models in Pertmaster

Hi,
I’m doing a risk assessment of a schedule using Pertmaster and got stuck when trying to determine which distribution model would fit the activities. Does anyone have a hint how to determine which would be the suitable model? (i.e BetaPart, Triangular, Trigen etc). By default Pertmaster suggested to use Triangular.

WE HAVE TO EXECUTE A 56 INCH DIA ONSHORE U/G GAS PIPELINE 690 KM LONG.WE HAVE PREPARED AN EPC MASTERSHEDULE FOR THIS PROJECT.WE HAVE A TOTAL DURATION OF 42 MONTHS FOR THIS EPC WORK.WE ARE PLANNING TO GET THE WORK OF CONSTRUCTION EXECUTED THROUGH 2 CONSTRUCTION SUBCONTRACTORS FOR PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION AND SEPARATE SUBCONTRACTS FOR TERMINAL CONSTRUCTION.

THE CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE FOR THE PIPELINE IS AS UNDER ;-

Hi,
Is there any other way to produce a P10, P50, and P90 dates besides using Pertmaster?

I’m handing a couple of projects that is still on the conceptual stage and i’ve been told that it will be difficult to identify the risk factors at this stage which are key elements for the risk analysis process in Pertmaster.

Permaster Risk Expert?

My department is currently looking at implementing Pertmaster Risk Expert.

Has anyone got any real life experience of using the software? Does help or hinder?

Does the impact it has upon your schedule risk promote you into using it regularly? Or is it something that never gets used?

Pipeline And Umbilical - Transportation And Installatio

Dear Planners,

I’m involved with pipeline and umbilical jobs which we’ve around 7 platfroms there and 6 barges for transportation.

According to the above mentioned pls advise me which one is better for our wtg consumption...either of budgett cost(barges rental) or budgett quantity (manhours)?????
