Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we deliver the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Time Impact Analysis needs sub-network or fragnets to be attached to a main schedule can it be done so in P6 webbased.

I can not see an Fragnet in the P6 that we access on our server.

Please let me know how to use fragnet concepts.

Hi Mike

No problem to call them "Fragnet <xy>"

They are stored within your database as normal projects. If you'll need them you just open the template/fragnet together and copy the activities. For me it seems easier to use.

Hi Deiter

I never lose the capacity to be amazed by the way that Primavera conspires to make things difficult.

Every delay analyst following the AACE principles knows that you have to set up "Fragnets".

When are the AACE gurus going to change the text to "Templates" ?

At least with Asta PowerProject you can call them whatever you want - I prefer "Delay Impact  Summary".

Best regards

Hi

It seems that you are an experienced P3 user who is forced to use P6. As there are some differences within the domunentation a file is included: "Move from P3 to P6". At least you should read chapter "Part 1: Before you begin". This will make life easier for you.

Fragnets do no longer exist, but you can use templates instead. We created small projects for special purposes. To include them into projects is rather easy.

Good luck!

Dieter
