(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
I have a resource loaded P6 Plan that I would like to import actual start and actual finish dates into together with a percent complete (units %). I have run an export from the same P6 plan and I have tried to add a start date and a % complete to one of the activities as a test – for some reason when I import the same file (so I know all the fields are named correctly etc) P6 tells me that the import was successful, however none of the changes to the activity have taken place. Strangely the only change that takes place is an Actual Start is assigned, however this in not the date that I have allocated in the import,,,
Any ideas – I’m scratching my head here!

the problem I have that primavera does not calculate actual cost since the schedule is updated , i was told that i should insert the resource and the cash to the baseline and then update it once again ,my quesition how to import Resources called cash , and the actual Dates again to the baseling to obtain the Actual Progress and updated resource.

fixed this issue now, ALL fileds associated with resource coding also need to be amended accordingly (not wanting to sound like a stuck record by P3 was better at this kind of thing), my main error was not amending both the remaining budgets on both activity and resource,, also the starts, actual starts, finish and actual finish take some playing around with.
