Hi Friends,

You are all doing gr8 job helping others.

Can anyone kindly tell me how can I export 'resource usage spreadsheet' from P6 to Excel? Please note that these are resources allocated to portfolio of projects not one project.

I have tried this through reports. But I can't save report as it is showing a message that as the data belongs to multiple projects, report can't be saved.

I really need to export resource usage spread sheet from P6 to Excel. Is there any other convenient way to do so?

thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,

Nith

Hi Carlos

Go to the Spreadsheet and select the first date you want to export. The cell will color blue. Hold shift and go to the last date you require. The full range will be colored light Blue. Then Control C en paste in Excel. I suggest using the lowest range of activities in the layout.

Regards Johannes

As I can export activity usage spreadsheet from P6 to excel, when I do it goes from year 00 to the year of the project as I solve this ?, for example, the project is from 2017 and when copying is delayed and when the paste leaves from the year 00 Until 2017 you owe this?

Thanks Zoltan,

for other members,  it was the Ctrl + A which seemed to do the trick

The Ctrl + C was not copying consistently,  without fiirst doing this.  Maybe a small issue in Primavera ..... or maybe me.

Thanks to Sirichai Somthong...

I searched on google for primavera copy to excel from resource assignments

I had an issue with copying  and pasting from resource assignments to excel.  '

I had summarised to a summary level and the selection was just not sticking.

It was the Point 2 of his reply Press Ctrl+A that was the missing step.

Here it is again .  Thanks.

Dear Nith Shetty,

Just you copy from Assigement Resource window in P6. as following steps.

1.You have to be on Assigement Resource window  first.

2. then Press Ctrl+A

3.Press Ctrl+C

4.Paste on Excel

Hope you will be succesfully as the above steps.

Nice to meet you.

Best Regards,

go to project resource assignments

then select the column that you wish to display budged unit or costs

summarize the data roll it up

click on the first month that a value appears

Highlight that month and the value below it

press and hold shift+control

then use your mouse and select the last month and the last value appears

now select edit then select copy

go to excel and select paste or control+C

Copying and pasting works fine for the "Activity Usage Spreadsheet" but does not work for the "Resource Usage Spreadsheet".  Excel asks to use an import wizard after pasting, but no combination of options seems to result in the data being copied.

The difference is whether the resource hours are grouped by the resource or by the activity.

Does anyone know how to export from "Resource Usage Spreadsheet"?

Thanks Sirichai,

It's working. However I have found an alternate way to do this.

Thanks again.
