1) If we are creating more than one price / unit in roles in P6, how to assign other prices , when we are adding roles to an activity.
For example i have create price/ unit 100, 175 & 250. But when i add a role to an activity , it is taking my first price i.e. 100 only, i dont have an option of selecting other prices...

2) Why does my Budget cost comes zero , even if i have a role with price / unit as $ 100 /h with Budgeted units of 7d. But still my budgeted cost is 0. How is it possible...

Can anyone clarify the above query?

Haresh,
You can define as many rates in roles but you can only use 1 at the time. If you want to use Price/Unit 2 or 3 etc…, you need to change the settings in Project Window under Resources tab-> Assignment default then change Price/Unit by clicking drop down box selection to any rates you wanted to use before adding new roles assignment.

The reason why your budget remains zero is your rate source still using resource instead of roles. If using roles rate you need to change the rate source to role. You may also need to refresh the cost by select Tool-> Recalculate Assignment Cost. I have explain 3 option of how to use different rate in P6 (click link below)
