Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

G’day folks,

Your assistence please.

I have loaded an activity with a quantity.

When I progress this activity and insert the actual quantity, I store the performance. On this occasion I am reducing the remaining duration. So when I do this, the actual quantity increases????

How do I fix the actuals and still change the remaing duration?

Thanks.

Brian

Brian,

In P6, reducing remaining duration means that you are increasing the "Duration % complete"

So, the easy (!?) answer is that "Recalculate actual units and costs when duration % complete changes" is ticked in the "Calculations" tab at the project level.......
