Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi

I’m trying to import a multi project schedule from p3 into p3e and when i do the activity descriptions are too short and have been chopped off. I now only have 3/4 of each activity description. Ive fixed this before some time ago but can’t recall where you adjust this so that the whole descriptions are imported.

any ideas?

Sorry John, you are right. Description length is not in Admin Preference.

Alex points out the length is 128 on P5.0.

Because in P3e there is 128 characters for activity description where P3 only have 48 so you should able to fit 48 into 128

Are you sure that the ’problem’ isn’t that your column width for displaying the activity descriptions is too narrow and needs to be widened?

there is no such information found in admin preference setting to define anything on activity description length.

only 48 characters allowed in Activity Description. In P3e/P5.0, more than 48 characters allowed.

Please check the admin preference setting value. May be the defined value is less than 48.
