Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Good Day Planners!

May I ask your help regarding my problem in importing because whenever I import a program from P3 to P6, The Project ID at P3 automatically included in WBS code at P6. here what was happened...
in P3
Project ID Project Description
CP00 Construction Project 00

WBS(sample only)
BCA Briton Construction and Partners

in P6 (after importing)
WBS (sample only)
CP00.BCA Briton Construction and Partners

All the "CP00" was added to all WBS Code of the Project..
May I know what was the problem.

Thank you

Chris

View Activities: You have the columns
- WBS; shows the complete hierarchy
- WBS Name; Shows the name of that WBS-node
- WBS Path; Shows the code without the upper nodes
For you WBS Name or -Code I assume then it will be shown with each activity.

Summary lines: Group & Sort: Group By WBS, unmark: Show ID Code

Thanks Dieter!

May I know how to hide the WBS Code? or just say Show only WBS name.

Because what the problem is upon I imported the program with the project ID CP00 to P6 The WBS was turned to CP00.BCA instead of BCA only

This is by design. The first level of the WBS is the project itself. If You’ll show the WBS, the complete path will be shown. Alternative: Just show WBS-Name.
