Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

If a plan layout is grouped into say ’project manager responsibility’ and you want to change the PM codes on multiple activities.
Once you enter the new name the activity will automatically be moved to the new position alphabetically in the layout.

In P3 you had to manually reorganize which enabled multiple selection then ’fill down.’
Is it possible to stop the automatic reorganization in P3E? - (P3e/c 3.5.1)

Another option is to multiple select (Ctrl), right click mouse and assign new code.

I don’t know why you cannot drag and drop. As long as your activities are organised by a specific code type, you should be able to do this. After selecting the activities move the mouse pointer to the far left of one of the selected activities in the activity table, and when you see a small page icon you can then drag that activity, which also takes other selected activities.

2 colleagues and I checked using P3e/c 3.5.1 and we all had no problems.

You can’t use drag & drop in P3e/c - 3.5.1

Another way is to use drag & drop. Select the activities you wish to assign a new code value, then drag those activities and drop them into the area you want them to go.

Dragos,
Thats the right way to do it !
Otherwise you’ll end up scrolling up & down the screen all day - adding to the frustration of using P3e !
