Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I have a question that I posted in an existing thread, but it got no replies. Please let me know if there is no workable solution.

I’m still using P3-3.1 and the various date formats available in this version don’t accomodate the ISO 8601:2004 format (namely yyyy-mm-dd). Do newer Primavera versions provide this or can I get it to work in 3.1?

Ideally I’m looking for "2005-DEC-13", but "2005-12-13" would do.

Advice appreciated! Thanks.

Charles

the list of the date formats you can use in P3 v3.11 that I am aware of are:
22.DEC.05
DEC.22.05
22.DEC
DEC.22
22.12.2005
12.22.05
05.12.22

the seperator being one of the following:

- (dash)
/ (slash)
. (period)

you cant change the date format to something else.
it is hard coded into P3. I think it is a database restriction issue.

I think I remember it can be done in P3ec v4.1. but you need an approval from other members of the forum.

Sorry it is a negative reply. :(

Meanwhile, is a demo (or time limited) version of the P3ec v5.0 available? I need to check with my own eyes how good that import/export issue has been resolved before I suggest an upgrade here.
