Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

when i whant update hammok activity in p3 , "cost this period" are negative .

Why You do not use Wbs activities?
The hammock is just considering the first with the s-s relat. and the end with f-f relationship, in a chain.
If any activity in the middle of the chian is going out of the originally first and last teh hammock is not covering it any more. Or You have to chekc every update time.
With Wbs just put it and define the level must summarize.
Much more easier. If your purpose is just summarize a group of activities.

since hammocks are attached to the earliest start date and the latest finsh dates, any updates will automatically will be incorporated

Hammock should be update automatically by P3.
As per instruction given in the manual for summarizing activities.
You should not need to update them, as well as the wbs activities.
