Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All,

I just wanna ask some help regarding the METHOD OF RESOURCING THE SCHEDULE. I already populated my 510 activities with all the resources required. Now my problem is when I calculated average per month the result is 1800. I am expecting a value ranging from 400-600 on the peak months.
If you could give some advise on how to do this. Any help is very much appreciated.
 Thanks pp members

Hi,

Much like Raymund.

1. Make sure you set interval calculation first to Month for your case. Perhaps this will take care already.

2. In the top pane, open the P6 table that shows resources distrbution per activity.

3. In the bottom pane, shows the graph options that shows resource histogram.

4. With these two pane, go to the activity (top pane) and see the month (bottom pane) with most resource and try to adjust the date or duration in order to level. Repeat.

Dura,

In User preferences.. Resource analysis.. set the interval to the desired time interval.

Also, in the Spreadsheet or graph options in the resource distribution pane, click the calculate average and the the based on hrs per time period.

Hope this will help.
