Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

HI Gentlemen,

I have been updating the progress in primavers  version 6, by using Duration as % complete type. But i have also heard that one should use Physical as % complete type...I then used physical but the results were the same. Can someone tell me that what is the difference in using these two?????

Regards,

Physical % complete is entered by the user and it implies that when percent complete would not be an accurate measure of real work performed or remaining. Where % complete can be entered by the user or the programme, this is not a real measure.

Physical % complete is preferred over % complete in construction projects where speed of doing the work in activities does not remain same during the activity duration.
