Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Does anybody out there have any experience, good as bad, with Construction Computer Software (CCS) product CANDY and especially their planning package "Siteplan".

Integration of estimating, valuations, planning, cashflow and forecasting in one package in the construction industry seems to be the perfect idea, but does it work in reality?

Please give me your pros and cons of "Siteplan" and the rest of the CANDY-package as I would like to now a bit more about this product before possible purchase.

Hi,

CCS is tailor made for Construction Industry requirements. I was a user of it for 3 years and I liked it. Its benefits are many. Right from Pre-Contract to Post-Contract requirements. If given the opportunity, I would defiently go for it.

The only problem when I use Candy/Site Plan is the Hrs Planning in SitePlan

Otherwise it is a generally easy to use software.

Dear Bo Johnsen,

CCS is a vey user friendly system better than primavera. U will feel the difference once u use it. It has two systems.

1. The CCS Candy estimating system.
2. CCS Site Plan Planning software.
The power thing in ccs are:

 Power filtering technique.
 Excellent presentable report generation.
 Once we feed in all dates we can generate separate report for information required schedule for material procurement and delivery, long lead items etc.
 The candy system Integrates program with the BOQ cost. any changes in the BOQ cost , will change the progam generated by site plan.

I have used this system when I was in the previous company after that since primavera is marked world wide I had to stick on primavera. CCS site plan can ble learned in 2 days and also CCS candy system another 2 days.
