Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Display Activity Code values in schedule only, not "empty" bands

Hi,

I have 5 Activity Codes assigned to the activities in my schedule and these are all included in the Group By column of the Group and Sort window. The last Code is “Discipline” and one of it values is “Cable”.

Within the Cable node in the schedule I want to have a further level with values of “Install”, “Terminate” and “Test”.

The problem I have is that when I create the new code, “Phase”, and assign these codes to the cable activities and include the new code in the Group By column of Group and Sort I get “No Phase” displayed within every node, except “Cable”, which has the headings Install, Terminate and Test, as expected.

I have checked the “Hide if Empty” box in Group and Sort but still get the same thing.

Is there any way to show this new code for Cable only?

Thanks very much

Dave

Rather than using a new phase code, I think you're probably best of adding install, terminate & test as 3 new values in the discipline code, indented to be children of the existing cable value.

Make sure you also indent the discipline code in your group & sort settings

Hi,

Create a Filter such as the Code is equal to Phase.
