Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All,

I want to set different calendars for different activities
1) Calendar 1 for normal construction activities (work week Monday to Saturday 8:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.);

2) Calendar 2 for consultant working day (Monday to Friday 9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.);

3) Calendar 3 for contagious activities ( 24 hours e.g. concrete curing, time allowed for striking of formwork etc.)

It is then found that the start and finish date/time of the activities would be mess up. How to resolve this problem?

In addition, could I force an activity to start on the next day rather than start immediately on the remaining time of the previous day. e.g. if there is only 2 hours left on day 1 which is not adequate to pour 100m3 of concrete, could the activity be force to start on day 2.

Thank!

Gary Lo

Dear Alexandre,

Sorry that I am not familiar with VBA. Do you think you could help on this?

Thank!

Hi Gary

The default Time slot in MSP is Hours but it can be changed to Days:

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Schedule tab.
In the Work is entered in list, click the time unit that you want.
To use the same setting automatically in all future projects, click Set as Default.

Best regards
