Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Sorting tasks: some challenge there is !

Hi all,

I have this model programme featuring typical
tasks and relations.
Unfortunately, tasks are sorted, and subsequently
numbered, according to ressource and not to logic
ie chronology.

I tried to create a new file copying
the tasks after sorting them according
to start date, thus relating number and chronology,
but unfortunately, when I do that,
the successors and predecessors numbers
refer to the copied tasks old numbers
and not the new pasted ones!

Any suggestion out there please?

Well I should have looked
before I asked.
In the dialog box for Project Sort,
there is a check for
renumber all activities,
It seems to answer my problem all right.
