Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Shahul,

If u show only one bar, then it may not solve the pupose.

This activity is linked with may be 100+ other activties. So, to demonstrate the impact you need to split this activity into different set of drawing activities and so, the impact of this on succeeding activities and on the project completion. If the start and end date of hammock activities remain same, and u insert few new activities, will give u a clear picture of the entire series of delay events.

While preparing a claim program, make sure that even ur site team will understand it and shud not remain a piece of paper from planner.

Cheers,

Hi Shahul

Put in a big red activity bar called Late Issue of Drawings.

Make it start from the day 1 and link it FS to the 1st activity that needs the drawings.

Make the end date Monday 16th November and re schedule.

Every week make the bar 1 week longer until you get the drawings.

Best regards

Hi Shahul

How much actual work had been done following the wrong design?

If none then the TIA will be a bar between date of issue of wrong drawings to date of re-issue drawings with the same FS links in place.

This will demonstrate the likely completion of the project and the EoT.

If some work had been constructed then it may have to be replaced so demolition / break out work may need to be added.

This would be concurrent with the new design development / workshop drawings lead in for new construction.

The contractor will be entitled to be paid for all abortive design and construction work.

Best regards
