Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Good morning,

Might be a noobie question but I am fairly new to Asta.

I am wondering how to set a line to start on a certain date and not follow the logic.

To put it in context, we can have the gas connection completed after we have removed scaffold but the gas company are booked in for 2 weeks after the scaffold. So the logic on my programme says it will happen right after the scaffold is gone, but I want it to say it is happening 2 weeks after. So when I reschedule it brings it back to after the scaffold.

Is there any way of telling Asta the gas connection is happening on a set date?

Cheers,

James

while a constraint would work, i would suggest adding an activity with the necessary logic for the 2 week lag such as "gas utility availabe to peform hook-up'

Hi James Welcome to Planning Plant

The easiest way is to put a "Must Start On or After" constraint flag on the task.

Be careful of these because Powerproject does not work on negative float.

Best regards
