Impala Platinum No. 20 Shaft (RSA)- Full E.P.C.M. Project [Involvement: August 2007 to Present]

I was involved in all the planning of this project: compromising of the Surface common and complex infrastructure works as well as the Normal sinking of two shafts (Main and Ventilation). All development (Incline and Decline), all underground construction works as well as the changeover to an operational mine. (Reef has been hoisted from both dips).

Konkola Copper Mine No. 4 Shaft (Zambia)– Design Project

This project consisted of the Sinking of a twin shaft next to Konkola No. 1 Shaft. The main designing revolved around mid-shaft and bottom-shaft loading. I set up the drawing office detailed schedules so as to meet construction milestones. *Record: Tallest Steel Headgear in 2009 (±80m).

Impala Platinum No. 18 Shaft (RSA)– Bankable Feasibility Study (B.F.S) [Involvement: April 2011 to October 2011]

I was involved in setting up the B.F.S. schedule in coordinating all stakeholders involved in preparing their reports and studies. This also included the setting up of the Forecast schedule and the C.B.E. (Cost Budget Estimate) for the project. The shaft is very similar to Impala 17# however it is going to a depth of ±2km which is slightly deeper, making Impala 18# a larger mine per ton.

The project is very similar to Impala 20# however conventional mining will be used.  The Project is in its early work construction stages.  I have been involved in setting up the schedule, cash flow, C.B.E. and all round planner functions for the Mine.
