Position: Planning Engineer, Planning Manager "Head of Planning Dept."

 

  • Participating in all project phases starting with the conceptual up to projects closure.
  • Evaluating opportunities and threats for each phase
  • Prioritize and coordinate work tasks
  • Select and assign team members related to RAM and identify development and training needs.
  • Building basis and assumption necessary for projects plans
  • Preparing and revising tender/contract procedures and documents for each phase
  • Participating in tender evaluation both technically and financially
  • Liaises with project stakeholders and attend various meetings.
  • Establish program framework and procedures. Design the WBS and assign KPIs.
  • Develop project programs and schedules, i.e. Milestones schedules, Master schedules, semi-detailed schedules, and detailed schedules, issuing project Master schedule
  • Preparing and revising daily, weekly, monthly look-ahead plans
  • Develop project Cash Flow Projection and run monthly updates
  • Develop various types of reports in daily, weekly, ad-hoc, and monthly basis.
  • Attending the progress meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Carry out coordination between different consultants, contractors, authorities,…etc.
  • Time, Cost, Budget updating, control and forecasting
  • Monitor contractors, vendors and suppliers performance.
  • Concluding performance reports and evaluates variances.
  • Reviewing project contractual documents
  • Estimate material quantities, prices, takeoff quantities and develop and review project BOQ
  • Carry out project contract administration (design control, document control, contract control, submittals, reports, invoicing, safety, quality, etc.)
  • Tracking project submittals
  • Certifying contractors invoices
  • Qualifying project change orders and Price variation and change requests
  • Create and maintain a master schedule that supports business forecast, including establishing lead-times, and safety stocks.
  • Analyze demand requirements to identify performance and bottlenecks and recommend actions.
  • Directs planning to ensure on time availability of resources to assure meeting planned targets.
  • Conduct capacity review providing inputs to contractors on anticipated resources capacity issues.
  • Coordinates with purchasing department and updated requirements.
  • Evaluates and recommends actions to improve time, cost, and quality performance
