Quantity Surveying & Cost management: •Cost Estimation & Cost control, Contract Management, Procurement Coordination; •Prepare BOQ recapitulation; •Prepare Monthly Financial Affairs Report; •Prepare and Maintain Interim and Final Quantity Books; •Check the Contractor’s interim and final pay certificates; •Evaluate unit rates for new items of works; •Check joint measurements for interim payments; •Compute final pay quantities; •Maintain current as-built drawings as the work progresses; •Maintain progress schedule and cash flow chart; •Assist in preparation of Variation Orders. Contract administration: •Support Project Managers in interpreting and evaluating contract performance for compliance to terms and conditions; •Assist in contract negotiations and contract activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfilment in accordance with company policies and legal requirements; •Assist in the formulation, negotiation, establishment and administration of various contractual arrangements and proposals for a range of goods and services; •Assist in providing independent liaison and coordination with contracting principals or representatives to ensure compliance with contract specifications and resolution of problems and issues; •Evaluates or monitors contractor performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations; •Analyzes and approves or rejects internal and/or contractor requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules; •Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonableness of prices; reviews and interprets contract provisions to achieve cost efficiencies and reductions where feasible; •Assesses contractor service value and product/service reliability relative to cost; plans, organizes, and coordinates acquisition alternatives, as appropriate; •Reviews and determines contractor performance against contract specifications and takes remedial action, as necessary, up to and including contract termination; •Participates and assist in the formulation, development, implementation and revision of contracting policies and procedures; •Assist in the auditing internal department activities for compliance with policies, work instructions, and sound business practices when requested; •Performs other related duties as required.
