Project : OMV Sawan Compression Station for ABB Italy.

The scope of Project was Fabrication of Steel Structure (500 Tons) for Sawan Compression Station.

Project Budget was 118 Million Rs. My role as Project Engineer includes the following responsibilities.

  • Prequalification and selection of Design Contractor for the Project.
  • Liaison with ABB Project Team In Italy and Designer for the preparation of GA Drawings, Connection Drawings and Shop Drawings for the Project.
  • Supervision for the preparation of BOM of the project.
  • Coordination with Procurement for sourcing and procurement of the material.
  • Selection of fabrication and painting contractor of the Project
  • Approval of Quality Dossier, Method Statements and Work Execution Methodology of the Project.
  • Supervision of manpower of the Project.
  • Arranging Third Party (Moody Inspection) for stage wise inspection.
  • Deployment of  necessary resources of the Project
  • Financial Review and Analysis of the Project

 

Project : MAN Germany - 225MW Diesel Power Plant

The scope of the project involves setting up a 225MW Diesel Power Plant. I was project engineer for Exhaust Steam Duct and Steam Distribution Ducts which was subcontracted to DDFC Works. My responsibility was to ensure that all the work executed in DDFC workshop goes smoothly and partial deliveries to the site erection team is happening in timely manner in order to avoid idling

I was also supervising the painting contractor for the fabrication works on the project. I was involved in preparation of base line plan, coordinating with QA/QC issues, arranging inspections and costing and budgeting of the project.

As a Planning Engineer, I was responsible for supervising the Site Planning Team and ensuring that all flags raised on the site are properly conveyed to site manager and corrective action is taken in time

 

Project: ENGRO Fertilizer Plant - Turn Around 2009

I also worked as Planning and Project Management Consultant with EKL on Turnaround 2009. I have rendered my services for the Plant Shutdown of 13 days, for Engro Chemicals, Daharki. I was working as a Planning Consultant and was providing consultancy to Engro in following domains

 

·         Preparation of Execution Plan for the Turn Around 09.

·         Break down of scope of work into division of activities and responsibilities.

·         Pre Turn Around meetings with Area Engineer of Ammonia, Urea, Utilities and Projects for the optimization of critical resources like HP Jetty Machines, Cranes and Scaffolding.

·         Update on daily progress of Teams and setting targets for next 24 hours.

·         Creating 24 and 48 hours advance case scenarios for Furnace firing and its impact on Ammonia  Production & Urea Production
