 Managing the Project controls team for an Exxon Mobil project out of London offices. The scheme had a value of c.$1Bn and was a mixed use scheme developed from master-planning stage to construction. The project is being delivered in West Africa but was developed in the UK via a multidisciplinary design/PM team.

 

Alan reported to the programme director and client team on planning, construction, project controls and procurement issues. Successfully mapped out and instigated hybrid procurement route for the client.

 

Programme management and programme risk were given a particularly high priority by the client and hence, both parties worked seamlessly to manage and mitigate programme risks whereas they were identified.

 

Led and developed a market entry study for Capita to set up an office Australia.  This required setting and running a budget, vetting, employing and managing a senior ex-government official from Australia as a consultant, liaising with the FCO and reporting to the then MD of Capita Symonds.
