Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hey everyone i have been  searching for this and think the answer is no but just wanted to clarify..

Is there anyway to set a constraint on hours spent on an activity or do constraints only apply to dates?

Sorry if its a stupid question im quite new to Primavera

Kath,

Just like any other date in P6, you can specify hours and minutes as well as just a date for constraints.  If you do not specify a constraint time, then midnight (00:00) will automatically be assigned.  Select Edit / Users preferences to have P6 show the time as well as the date.

As a reminder, all dates in P6 also include a time element.  You can choose to not see it but it is always present.  I recommend always showing the time unit to help prevent entry errors.  Good luck!
