(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.
Can anyone tell me what happens, if you tick the box, 'Drive activity dates by default' on the Resource Tap on the Project screen when in the Enterprise View?
We are using resources.

As follows is out of P7 Help:
"Drive activity dates by default: Mark to allow the assignment finish dates to roll up to the activity finish dates for new resource and role assignments. Clear to allow the resource/role dates to be independent of the activity dates. The Project Management module marks this option by default." (End of quotation.)
In other words:
- Marked: All assignments within activity's duration
- Unmarked: Assignments can be outside of the activity's duration --> Dangerous!
Parameter can individually be set for each assignment.
