Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Barry,
In my past experience with Primavera timesheets (V5), this was not possible.
I understand why you would like this functionality (As I did too, at first) but i feel it would make the system very limiting and you would soon get sick of the phone calls to increase the budgeted hours to then allow someone to book the time.

Afterall busgeted hours is just the best guess at any given time (Hopefully the start) and you should track and measure performance against this. Just imagine if someone could not book time agaist the work they were doing; first thing they do is find a charge code that works and book there, then all your data is screwed up.
