Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we deliver the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all you unforetunate P6 users.

I have suggested to Admin that as a quid pro quo for all the free advertising they are getting on this forum that Oracle provide a dedicated staff member to respond directly to all your P6 problems.

If you think this is a good idea then please reply to this thread and maybe Admin will take notice.

Best regards

Gary,

Is the Liverpool Football Club a for profit club, a non profit organization or a charity? Can another beer sponsor Liverpool Club? At the stadium, are other beers sold? Are they free? By the keg?

Because of your statements I interpret PP as a for profit business similar to the Liverpool Football Club. Am I wrong?

At PP menu I only see Oracle and no other. I will buy it is not a takeover whenever I start to see several other brands. I perceive it a potential conflict of interest if I am wrong about PP being a for profit organization and result it is a non profit organization.

Why White Papers is reserved for Oracle, it seems more like an advertising billboard? Does it has some advanced brainwashing feature, like a huge background logo being shown at a very high speed you don’t see but your brain does?

Oracle

Rafael

Carlsberg sponsor Liverpool Football Club.

I’m a Liverpool FC fan, and I don’t like or drink Carlsberg.

Liverpool FC have never tried to stop me drinking, or talkling about other beers, or talking about why I don’t like Carlsberg.

Liverpool FC players are allowed to drink other beers (if any beers at all)

Liverpool FC are allowed to sell other beers in their bars

Carlsberg have had no influence whatsover over how Liverpool play football -though recently they have been playing like that might not be true ;o)

Mike,

Admin. is on exclusive partnership with Oracle. I still only see Oracle logo and no one elses.

Hi Rafael

I agree entirely.

Only Admin can set up new headings so why not put a thread on Improving Planning Planet.

Best regards

Mike,

Is obvious the favoritism PP has for Oracle, keeps adding pages like "White Papers" and logos but only exclusively for Oracle. On my part I don’t welcome any Oracle representative. As a matter of fact I doubt they will be willing to be exposed to any criticism.

Why not to suggest a separate place for Maintenance and Installation of P6? It would be good for those struggling with the installation. Access to this particular page should be only for those under Planning Planet Maintenance Agreement so PP admin can buy a leer jet, even if the fee is set at 50% of what Oracle charges. It will also be good for non Primavera/Oracle users that are interested on relevant issues being discussed but without the noise the stupid installation questions represent.

Are you then to suggest a separate place for P6 Bugs? It will be useless, better a place where disappointed users can sincerely express their frustration using the words of their choosing without any censorship from the part of PP admin, call it “I Love Primavera/Oracle”. PP can place a warning as to the language to be expected before users are allowed access to this page. Come on, let PP user express in the own words their feelings. It would be fun; because of the adult content the Trivia Section won’t be appropriate.

Best regards,
Rafael

That is bound to happen, weather somebody is taking initiative or not. One day this site wil b controlled by Oracle guys.

PP Members have been requesting from ages to have some space on PP server for sharing white papers or attachments, but to no avail.

The white paper section is reserved only for oracle. Unbeliveable!!!!

I know very well that admin guys r spending lot of effort & time to run this site, but then y there is discrimination.
