Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear Friends
Iam in a big trouble.Please help.

My Manager wants me show the progress in WBS summary only.Means in limited sheets .When I filtered I could see only Planned summary bars only.Please tell me friends how to filter or how to show the actual summary bars also.


Means Planned VS Actual.i want to show both bars.Please tell me the filtering methods..

Hi Arun

Maybe there was a misunderstanding - or I didn’t really get your question.

WBS Summary is an acitity of the type WBS S. In the Gantt chart they will be shown as normal activities. If you’ll have a look at the filter "normal": task- plus resource-dependent plus WBS Summary. Study the help function to learn how to deal with this type. Important: Relationships are ignored.
I don’t know how you measure progress. All the basis for progress measurement, you’ll attach to these activities. Then filter by "Activity Type" equal to.

Hi Arun. The easiest way to do this is to open WBS view (menu: Project->WBS). Make sure you have Gantt chart view (menu: View->Show on Top->Gantt Chart). Then right click on Gantt Chart and add Actual and Baseline bars.That’s it.
