Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi All,

 

I just need some clarification,...............Do WBS Summary Activities drive other Activities if used as Predecessor?

 

I think not but would appreciate confirmation.

no! WBS summary activities and LoE activities can have no schedule impact, and cannot be levelled

Hi Rod,

The WBS summary activity functions more like a "hammock" activity, summarizing the activities within the WBS element it represents. While it can be linked to other activities for dependencies, it doesn't directly influence the scheduling or sequencing of those activities, unlike MS Project, where the summary bar can drive activity when linked to a network or used as a predecessor.
