Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

HI,

When i open two projects simultaneously,i can’t get the proper organisation of the activity code for the both projects.only one project has the proper breakdown structure according to the activity code and the second without levels.
NB:EACH PROJECT HAS DIFFERENT ACTIVITY CODES.

Please i need help to solve this issue if it is possible.

Thanks for everyone in advance.

Regards,

Roger,
Create a global code with all values that might be used in both projects...
and then assign this new global code to activities in both projects
your code might be : Building Level with four values: 1,2,3,and4
and then using global change (to speed things up) assign your new code to the activities and organize using the new code not the old one
remember to check the "hide if empty" to avoid empty groups

it is not a problem of "hide..."
the problem as i told in the project 1 we have level 1,level 2 and in the project 2:level 3,and level 4
the problem is:if i activity concrete for example in the project 1,look what it will give me:
level 1(project 1)
level 2(project 1)
no level 3(project 2)
no level 4(project 2)
concrete
i don’t want to appear in the project 1 the "no level 3 and no level 4 foe project 2"

THANKS

Not quite sure what you mean but do you want to hide the ’no level’, if you do just tick ’Hide If Empty’ in the Group & Sort view

hi,it is already defined and exist in the activity code..
if in the project #1:i have level 1 and level 2
and in the project # 2:i have level 3 and level 4.
i put in the group and sort the 4 levels, but when i open the both project:in the first project:it is defined level 1 and level 2(no problem),and is written in the first project no level 3,level 4.
and in the project 2:it is ok for its level but also is written :no level 1,no level 2.
I hope u understand my sequences.
thanks a lot

maybe you need to define your codes as similar as you can with all your projects.
