Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All!
Help neede on two areas:-

1. When I copy and paste a WBS(with activities and a lower lever WBS within),P6 does not ask for a prefix or suffix for renaming new Activity codes for the new activities formed(like in p3.1).It increments them automatically instead (even when I have unmarked the copy Activity codes option).
How to rename the new formed(after pasting)activities optimally without having to edit them one by one?

2.How to correct Activity codes in excel so that while importing to P6 it updates the existing and not forms a new feild?

1. activity Id is no longer an important part of P6, so don’t worry too much, if you still want to change you activity id then please use global change to modify it accordingly

2. Use the update profile when you importing it back to primaver instead of create new.
