Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I have a 5 day activity with a resource cost against it. On producing a cost loading report the cost is spread out over the 5 days. However I want the cost back ended. I tried using the curve options for resource but this did nothing. Did I use this correctly?

I remember using a delay or lag in P3 to do a similar job but this didnt work either.

I don’t want to create milestones.

Cheers, Mark

Thanks Brad & Andrew.

I’ve been busy this morning trying to get this report perfect. Yes I forget to amend the resource duration from 5 days to 1. So Andrew’s tip worked. My report didnt help as it was taking the data from the baseline and not remaining -doh. Moscow.

Hi Mark.
You can’t assign the resource to a milestone type activity in P5.
If you are using P6 you can manually set the resource consumption to the very last day of activity. If you have P5 - you may try Expense Item with ’End of Activity’ Accrual Type or try resource assignment with Original Lag = 4 and Original Duration = 1.
Hope this will help you.
Regards,
Andrew
