Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello

I've not posted on here in years. I have recently reverted to using P3 again after a long spell of using P6.

I am using a resourced schedule which has the resource on the cost, the cost also has a price per unit entered onto each resource.

Giving that the price is really man hours and the price per unit is going to be hours per day I should then be able to assume each resource can only work 8 hours per day so if i exceed 8 hours the resource (price per unit column) would show number of men.

So when i do a report - graphics report on resource & Cost I would add in the parameters of what i want to show in the report/chart.

This part is all fine except for one setting: When choosing the content, P3 gives me the choice to divide by a number.

Does this represent 8 hours a day or how many days in a week?   I am running the reports per week so I can see man power over the project per week.

Should i use this content setting and divide by 8 to get the correct man power (based on 8 hours a day).

or should it be by  7 to divide by 7 days in a week.

The outcome is obviously different............help
