Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all ,

Sometimes i feel lost while trying to name a project . The reason being only 4 characters allowed in P 3.1.

The problem is more , when you are involved in tendering planning and then we have so many plans to make and of course with only 4 character allowed in p3.1.

I want to know , how you guys out there manage this.

You have 26 characters for the first digit, 26 characters + 10 figures each for position 2 to 4. The quantity of combinations is (26 * 36 * 36 * 36), i.e. different possibilities for a name within one database. Not sufficient?
