Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,Guys

I am using P3 and it has got different calenders like 5 days and 6 days, and it has so many constraints due to delivery slippage.

Now the question is "which is the best CPM TF=0 or Longest path".

Appreciate your responce.

And lastly how the filter works in P6 TF or Longest path

Longest path has a chequered reputation in P3.1, I don’t have much experience with it but understand that it doesn’t exactly work as advertised.

I use TF=0.

Actually, if you have several "near critical" paths you can go to Tools/options/critical activities and set this to a larger number, I plan in hours and usually set critical activities to be TF<10 hours for critical paths and TF<50 hours to highlight near critical mass work.
