Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,
I wish to know/recall how to disable the scheduling function when I press F9.

I want the dataline to shift but not the end dates so that I can update the bar chart better for management viewing..

Please advise.

Andrew,

You can move the data date without scheduling through the Global calendars.

Highlight the Global calendar and click the standard button. Data date is an editable field in this form.

NOTE - if you schedule (press F9) then P3 uses this new date so using a target as discussed below is the better solution.

Not 100% sure what you are doing but thought I’d give this option as well

Andrew,

There is a way of doing this in P3. YOu need to set-up P3 to show progress against your target (baseline). Of course you need to show your target bar instead of your current bar. This will show progress against your target without moving the end dates.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Daniel

andrew,

This cannot be done. The data date cannot be reset without scheduling.

You can use the attachment toolbar to drop a curtain, or a line, or indeed use the progress spotlight to highlight a date range.
