Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I am facing a problem in obtaining Logic Networks (PERT) with Finish Dates matching the Finish Dates in Bar Charts for Projects with Planning Unit in Weeks.

The Finish Dates (PERT) are showing the starting day of the week rather than the ending day of the week.

Has anybody experienced such a discrepancy and how did you slove it?

Thanks.

I just try it on my P3 and there are not any discrepancy between the bar chart and the pert data.
As are extrimated once for ever, or until next scheduling.
I used a 7 working days calendar.

Try to see which info are you asking to be shown in pert view.

If You want a copy of this and see how is running on your P3 send me You email.

To clarify my point, herebelow is a simple example.

Create a new project with planning unit in weeks, starting on mondays and with a start date of January 5th 2004.

Activity 1 has duration of 2 weeks and is linked with FS to Activity 2 that has a duration of 3 weeks.

The Bar Chart Layout shows Activity 1 finishing on January 18th 2004, and Activity 2 on February 8th, 2004, and both are correct.

Now, if you go to View, PERT, it shows Activity 1 finishing on January 12th 2004, and Activity 2 on February 2nd, 2004, and both are wrong. These 2 finish dates represent the starting dates of the weeks in which these activities end.

Hope my example is clear.

Anybody has an idea what is happening?

Thanks.
