Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello Everyone,

Just a doubt about if we can show the time scale to positive and negative.

Like the award )

Project award date would be 0 anything happening after the project award date would be positive dates like (Week) 1 ,2 3.

How can we show in the schedule the activities which happens before Project award date as negative like (week) -1 , -2 , -3 etc

Thanks

Jithin

Thanks Mike,

Very helpfull and shows us the change in the software.

Haveint used Asta yet. In Middle East the first one / Mostly it is Primavera and the next one is MSP. But its really good to hear all this logic. Probably would study Asta too.

Hi Jithin

In Asta PowerProject I just click on the date that I want to be Week 0 and the + / - numbers just fall into place.

Best regards

Thanks Gary. It Worked out well. I was trying to do many things in timescale and it didnt work. At last as you said i went to the time scale checked marked the Show Original Dates and then in Original start i used the custom date to select the day when the project is awarded.

And in Original Date Interval i selected weeks.

Thanks a lot for helping me out.

View menu > Timescale

Click "Show Ordinal Dates"

Ordinal Start = Award date

Ordinal Date interval = weeks

Click Apply
