Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear PP experts,

I am developing a tender programme for a quite complex resort and hotel tower buildings in a tight completion timeframe.

The qusetion is, "Is it contractually acceptable to make any submission and approval request from the Engineer immediately after receiving LOA but prior to obtaining building permit/commencement date to speed-up things, for example enabling work subcon approval to be on board and mobilize immediately, technical documents, QA/QC, HSE, CEMP plan approvals...?"

Hope for your expert guidance.

Regards,

Chris

Hi Chris

As soon as you get a LOA - provided it is drafted correctly - then the contract is active so Yes you can hit the deck running.

If the Engineer has not yet been appointed then you have your first grounds for an Eot before you have started.

Best regards
