Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all,

As we have seen, there are lot of progress in the development of 4D planning and visuslisation tools in construction planning of building projects but rarely found such tools in linear projects such as raods, railwyas, tunnels, pipelines etc.

As my key concern is what will be critical factors and key benifits if such tools applied in linear project?
what wil be the key practical applications in the managment of linear construction projects.

1) Do you think that 4D technlogy will be useful in lenear projects, if yes, in what stage and what will be key benifits?
2) Do you think, Number of site access and location will be key critical factors to control 4D tools? if not, what is that factors?

Your creative and innovative response regarding above will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Raj

Raj,
linear projects can be described with the time-location diagrams (we call them linear Diagrams) very efficiently. 4D tools do not add much to this type of reports for linear projects.
