(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.
Im using primavera p6 8.2 standalone and all of a sudden my buttons like print preview,projects,layouts ,filldown and many others are visible or grayed but not highlighted hence i cannot use them .Can anyone please give me a solution

I had a similar issue in 8.2, and i truly hope you are not in the same case! My buttons were not working at all. To fix it the only thing i could do was to create a new user profile as an error had been generated within the profile, as such i lost a lot of my favorite layouts and had to rebuild them.
Once I created a new user i had to delete the old one, and then modify the new one to match my previous one. This wipes all of the erroneous information out of that user profile.
If you are able, export all of your user layouts and any other user profile information you can.
