Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi Everyone,

Is there anyway you can import a previous version of the schedule as a baseline to the current version? I have a subcontractor who updated the schedule and set the baseline on the current dates. Unfortunately the delivery date is a month later than the contractual date, but the previous baseline detail is now lost. However I do have the original version of the schedule so if there was anyway that information could be imported it would be much easier than taking the activities back to the original state, baselining and replanning.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Emma,

this is not easy, you will need to write some VBA (visual Basic for Applications) code.

Alternatively you can  use built it feature to compare projects Report=>Compare Projects. This will not make one file to be a baseline, but it will give somewhat comparable functionality
