Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

In the ’total slack’ column it shows 0 days. But some of the bars which have 0 float are blue and others are correct coloured red. I need ALL bars to be red for criticality. What is happenning?

Maybe it is an issue with the Bar Styles, it occur to me the following.

1)If using MS project 2010 go to Format Tab and make sure to tick Critical Tasks box, if a prior version look for the equivalent of this.
2)If you know how to modify Bar Styles probably you will find one bar definition is on top of critical bar definition as determined by the order on the Bar Styles table, place at or near the bottom of the table your colored bar style for critical bars. Not sure but believe at the bottom will place it on top, if not try at the beginning of the table.
3)Look on help or Google for “MS Project Bar Styles” if the above do not work.
4)Last resort would be to reset to default Gantt.

Hi Stuart

Check the decimals in the Total Slack column - it may be 0.45.

Best regards
