Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we deliver the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

This Survey Questionnaire is in fulfillment of requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Construction Management (Project Management) at Heriot Watt University (Dubai Campus).

The study is purely a personal research for my Dissertation and does not involve any other party.

The scope of this study is to investigate current practices for analyzing delay claims in the UAE, with the focus on improving contract language for minimizing delay disputes in the UAE Construction Industry.

I would be highly thankful if you participate in this survey and answer the questions which require only few minutes of your valuable time.

The identity of your organization will not be revealed as this Questionnaire is completely anonymous.

Dear Yasser,

You can contact the following center or the Chamber of Commerce in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and they can give you a list of people practicing in these cities that you can ask:

The Dubai International Arbitration Center
www.diac.ae

"
The Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre (ADCCAC) is the main arbitral institution in Abu Dhabi."

With kind regards,

Samer

Dear Yasser,

I highly recommend that you visit 20-30 sites in UAE and talk to the Construction teams at site. You will get a good idea about the real problems that they are facing.

From your survey questions, you are more interested in Contractual Issues. That is, including enough clauses in the Contract to solve all potential problems in the future that might occur.

I am sure that with the financial crises, you had plenty of payment delays from all sides. This is something that you might want to add to the survey or your study.

Good luck in advance.

With kind regards,

Samer
