Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Greetings everyone,

May i ask your expertice about AstaPP?

WH is 8:00am - 5:00pm, Building Construction, Creation of BL Sched.

I want to use the Task Work feature in AstaPP, while doing it, i noticed that it makes my activies to finish in-between the day which allows the successor to start on the same day. I want the successor to start the next day even if the predeccessor is already finished before the end of the working hours.

May I ask someones assistance on this.

Thank you very much in advance.

Prince

Hi Prince,

Go to the Properties of the Task (right click on the task), navigate to Constraints options and select "Start on new day". This will force the task to always start the next day, regardless of when in the day your predeccessor finishes.

I don't know if Asta permits to assign special calendar to dependency lag.

If yes, assign to lag 24 hours per day calendar and make it 8 hours (if your work day lasts 8 hours).

With this lag the successor will always start in the next day.
