Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

New Task ID's when entering progress

Hi All,

I've just noticed that when entering progress into PowerProject v16, it's adding new Task ID's, so for example, a task id would go from "1013" to "1227, 1013".  This is when I have 'live' data as the option for the field.  Does anyone know why it's doing this?

Thanks,

Martin

Hello Martin!

I think that PowerProject does that as it treats each progressed (actualised) part of the task as a separate task.

You can use the Unique Task ID field instead and that doesn't change.

Kind regards,

Konstantinos

Hi Martin

I have not yet downloaded v 16 but it would be that the software is keeping a rolling record of your previous entries.

By recalling the posting date of your earlier progress you can download the progress.

This is essntial when setting up an As Built programme for an EOT claim.

Best regards Mike T.
