Project Management and Controls

  • Formulate Work Breakdown Structure for the project in line with overall Project Control framework
  • Collect all inputs related to project plan preparation ( time per activity, interlinkage, sequencing) by areas from respective managers on Project Task Force and prepare the base plan
  • Ensure alignment of functional schedules prepared by functional managers with the project schedule
  • Co-ordinate with Cost Controller to level of congruence between planning and cost WBS
  • Monitor critical path & overall schedule on a daily basis. Prepare catch up plans, look ahead plans based on inputs from respective sources and report to Project Control Manager
  • Analyse & present impact of various scenarios on project schedule  & critical path during cross- functional meeting
  • Aggregate progress reports on a weekly & monthly  basis, develop progress S curves and prepare reports
  • Update changes made to the base schedule in a separate version
  • Resource loading, levelling, updating, monitoring, revising and producing all the reports regarding the schedule
  • Organising meetings with various other department heads to work out strategies, policy decisions and implementation of the strategy/policy decisions.
  • Responsible for the receipt, control and distribution of technical documents, general correspondences, reports and all other project related non-confidential documents, as per the distribution matrix authorized by the Project Control Manager
  • Preparing schedules of all packages of power plant
  • Monitoring the activity at sites and review of project schedule, ensuring cost control within budget, planning for cash flow requirements, etc.
